Sweep Arpeggio Example

The following example shows the use of sweep arpeggios in the third part. The chord progression is I-V-IV-vi-V (E, B, A, C#m, B), but I’m treating it as I-V-IV-I-V (E, B, A, E, B), and each arpeggio matches the chord in that part of the progression. When the melody notes are on the 3rd, 4th, or 5th strings, the arpeggios run up and then down. When the melody notes are on the 1st and 2nd, strings, the arpeggios run down and then up.

The harmonic and melodic structures in the example are quite simple, but fairly effective.
